Hello and Welcome! My name is Stacy Daigle LMT, MLD-C owner and operator of Silver Tree Therapeutic Massage LLC. I am a 2011 graduate of Branford Hall Career Institute for Massage Therapy in Windsor Connecticut and a graduate of the Academy of Lymphatic Studies in Sebastien Florida, where I trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques.
Over the last 13 years working with clients, I have found a passion for post operative and injury recovery therapies and have focused all of my training in these special modalities. My goal is to offer alternatives to help manage chronic pain, edema, and soft tissue restrictions that can help return quality of life through healing touch!
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Post-Operative
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle precise touch technique using the Vodder method to stimulate the network of lymphatic vessels that are right under your skin. MLD increases the rate at which the body removes waste, dead cell particles and swelling from our tissues. Accelerating the lymphatic flow reduces pain, swelling and bruising to injured areas and may shorten rehabilitation time . MLD can help to prevent or reduce fibrosis ( scar tissue formation) and many surgeons recommend MLD during the recovery phase following surgical procedures.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is NOT a typical Massage. It is a light skin stretching to address Lymphatic system dysfunctions like swelling . It does not release muscles or fascia or tightntess after surgery. Pressures or overstimulation of the soft tissues applied to surgical areas after the procedure is contraindicated and causes pain, bruising, increases in swelling and damages to the lymphatic vessels.
There is no pain with MLD, and there are no lotions or oils used during your session. There are no fluid being pushed out of surgical incisions also called Incisional Drainage. This is very dangerous procedure with an increased risk of infection, damage to the surgical site and the lymphatic vessels. This should only be preformed by a physician under sterile conditions and is out of my scope of practice.

Lymphatic Stimulating Massage
MLD can also be used in conjunction with very light massage to help control chronic pain in conditions like Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Autoimmune disorders and Migraines by reducing the pressures from edema caused by chronic inflammation. This is especially effective for pain management because it is very gentle where traditional massage can be painful. Certain health conditions like stroke, congestive heart failure and blood clots are contraindicated for MLD. A thorough intake will be taken prior to your session.
This service is a focused session with Manual Lymphatic Drainage to effected areas and then a very light touch Massage to stimulate lymphatic flow, reduce pain and increase relaxation. This combination can also be used to reduce chronic sinus pressure, rosecia, help in weight management, migraines and overall body detoxification.
* This service is NOT for Lymphedema clients! It is strongly recommended you seek a CDT therapist for treatment. I do not treat Lymphedema as it is out of my scope of practice.
* This service is available for post operative clients 4 to 6 weeks after surgery.

Scar Therapy
Surgery or injuries can leave behind marks in the form of scars. Each of us deals with scars differently, with the story behind the scar playing a role in how we see our body. No matter how large or small, scars can have an effect on a persons quality of life.
Many people have debilitating scar tissue pockets or patches that could be reduced by using manual connective tissue techniques like myofascial relase or lymphatic drainage to adress chronic fluid that makes scars feel worse and heal slower . Working on the fascial restrictions that have restricted the tissue, scar therapy can help increase movement, reduce pain but also improve the way the scar looks and feels.

Theraputic Massage
Therapeutic massages is a customizable therapy that relieves muscle and joint pain, treats specific problems, reduce stiffness, and help heal injuries where traditional massages aim to only provide temporary relief without getting to the root of the problem. The massage work in a therapeutic massage may feel deeper than a relaxation massage. You also may experience more tenderness as the therapist works through the tissues of the problem areas. Often there is a misconception that therapeutic massage means deep tissue massage, and that they will get a very strong massage, but this is not always the case. Deep tissue massage is great at breaking down scar tissue and getting your blood circulating, but it may not be what you need on a particular day. By using multiple modalities the right amount of pressure to address your needs is applied, and sometimes that’s a lighter touch using techniques like neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release ,trigger point therapy.
